Parent Involvement
George A. Phillips Academy parents and families are a significant part of the learning community and educational experience. The academy board adopted and approved a Parental Involvement Plan in 2005 and encourages participation at many levels. The academy communicates openly with parents, maintaining an open-door policy and sending weekly communications home with students. Parent involvement opportunities include:
• Parent organization
• Field Day participation
• Field-trip chaperones
• Classroom volunteers
• Fundraising
• Parent-teacher conferences
• Tutoring
• Special events
School parents interested in participating in our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) are encouraged to contact our office at 419.534.4272.
